                       Our
world has entered a new millennium, and the changing face
of science fiction beckons for a new franchise. The Villikon
Chronicles Saga and its prequel, The Crucibles of Mystere,
are imaginative portrayals of the trials and tribulations
of mankind. Maniacal villains, Porphyrians, religious fanaticism,
corruption, and moral hypocrisy are themes and villains
that run rampant throughout the epic storyline, which plays
against the backdrop of a militarized universe. Though
Villikon’s universe is distant and futuristic, it
wears the face of our own society. This is the saga of
a fictional family dynasty. The Villikon adventures, those
they led, conquered, and loved, serve to explore the depths
of civil unrest, prejudices, and the powers of hypocrisies
wielded by militaries, governments, religions, monarchies,
and mirrors a society making the same destructive decisions
that prevail in our own history. The story is meant to
be an entertaining and explorative look into a galaxy with
qualities and misgivings comparative to our own, distilled
behind the mask of social commentary. This is only the
                      beginning!Bryan J. Kinnaird Writer/Creator
 THE
VILLIKON CHRONICLES: ASCENSION OF THE EXPATRIATES Framed for a genocidal crime he didn’t commit, CAPTAIN
KORT VILLIKON, revered military leader, esteemed nobleman,
                          and
time-honored war hero, is processed expeditiously through
the justice system, banished from his home world of Roma,
and expelled to a gothic prison planet. Itasca is a treacherous
nexus populated by the vagrants of villainy. Dinosaurian
Dirt Whales, warmongering clans, and giant underground
dwelling gastropods thrive in Itasca’s ecology.
But no presence on Itasca threatens the paradigm for
                          survival
as ill reprehensibly as an experiment conducted and
abandoned by rogue military forces. Porphyrians, a
                          clandestine
hive of vampirical wraiths, terrorize the deserts with
                          succubus
lecher, savage feeding frenzies, and spinal infusions
with the capacity to reanimate victims. There is no
                          peace in
the lawless society, no hope for escape, and no time
to waste rationalizing your fate over instincts. <more> from http://www.villikonchronicles.com

 The
Villikon Chronicles: Ascension of the Expatriates is
a must read for any true SciFi fan.
Kinnaird has woven a complex war hero saga
                      that not only
tells the story of Captain Kort Villikon, but
that of an entirely new universe of characters. The saga
itself is on par with the likes of Star Wars with
a bit of Dune mixed in.
 The
                    neo-cinematic artwork of The
Villikon Chronicles: Ascension of the Expatriates is
in a class of it's own. Reading these books, one definitely
gets a sense of watching a movie unfold on the story board
like pages. While visually stunning, it does take
a little getting used to. At first the layout made following
the storyline a bit of a challenge. After just a few pages
though, it became much easier to follow. By the middle of the
first book it seemed as though I were watching a film rather
than reading a graphic novel. There
are enough intricate twists and turns in the plot to ensnare
anyone. I truly enjoyed this captivating three part saga and
I highly recommend placing it on your must have list. It must
                  be noted
that these books, though not rated, may not be suitable for
                  younger children. The
Villikon Chronicles: Ascension of the Expatriates is based
on Kinnaird's motion picture screen play The
                          Villikon Chronicles. RueViews
eagerly awaits the next chapter and it's silver screen
                          debut!
